On September 25, 2009, F.T. Island was in Cebu in the Philippines to film the music video for their Japanese single "Raining" when Typhoon Ketsana struck the island, temporarily leaving them out of contact and stranded.
Speculation was fired that former member Oh Won Bin might return to the band after he took part in the soundtrack of drama You're Beautiful (Hangul: 미남이시네요), costarring Lee Hongki.
On March 23, 2009, youngest member Choi Minhwan fainted on the set of his drama, the Road Home, from exhaustion. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment and discharged the next day. Minhwan had been suffering from a cold and overwork.
On May 3, 2011, F.T. Island's dorm near Munrae-dong, Youngdeungpo-gu, Seoul caught fire, but the band called for assistance and were uninjured.
