Friedrichshafen has an expanding local airport which offers, amongst other services, daily international connections provided by low-cost airlines Condor Flugdienst and Germanwings. It also acts as the hub for the airline carrier InterSky, which is a factor that has contributed to recent growth in the town.
The nearest big cities are Konstanz, St. Gallen, Ravensburg, Ulm, Munich, Zurich, and Bregenz.

Famous quotes containing the word transport:
“One may disavow and disclaim vices that surprise us, and whereto our passions transport us; but those which by long habits are rooted in a strong and ... powerful will are not subject to contradiction. Repentance is but a denying of our will, and an opposition of our fantasies.”
—Michel de Montaigne (15331592)
