Friday The 13th (NES Video Game)

Friday the 13th is an survival horror video game published by LJN and developed by Japanese video game developer Atlus for the Nintendo Entertainment System video game console. It is an adaptation of the Friday the 13th franchise.

It was released in North America exclusively in February 1989, as part of LJN's focus on creating video games based on licenses. It is considered by some as one of the worst games of all time, with Pack-in-Video's development skills often characterized as poor. Both Nintendo Power and Game Informer regard it as one of the worst games of all time, while it has been criticized as a poor rendition of its source material by critics, including author Andy Slaven. It was, however, noted as a hit by the Daily News of Los Angeles.

Famous quotes containing the words friday and/or video:

“Letting go” ...implies generosity, a talent a good mother needs in abundance. Separation is not loss, it is not cutting yourself off from someone you love. It is giving freedom to the other person to be herself before she becomes resentful, stunted, and suffocated by being tied too close. Separation is not the end of love. It creates love.
    —Nancy Friday (20th century)

I recently learned something quite interesting about video games. Many young people have developed incredible hand, eye, and brain coordination in playing these games. The air force believes these kids will be our outstanding pilots should they fly our jets.
