Fred Smith (birth registered April→June 1935 in Gorton — died 24 April 2004(2004-04-24) (aged 69) in Wakefield) was an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1950s and '60s, playing at representative level for Yorkshire (despite being born in Lancashire), and at club level for Leeds, and Wakefield Trinity, as a Wing, i.e. number 2 or 5.
