Francesca "Frankie" Sandford (born 14 January 1989) is an English pop and R&B singer-songwriter and currently a member of girl group The Saturdays, signed to the record labels of Fascination Records and Polydor Records. The group has had huge success, releasing twelve singles of which ten have reached the Top 10 on the UK Singles Chart. In addition, the group has had three Top 10 albums on the UK Album Charts, which have all gained a certification from the British Phonographic Industry. Sandford has previously been a member in band S Club 8 and released six singles and five of them charting in the Top 10 of the UK Singles Chart. She also appeared in the children's television programme I Dream with them before they disbanded.
Sandford released a solo song with Calvin Goldspink, Dreaming, which was a hit. She later featured on Kids in Glass Houses song Undercover Lover. Sandford later went on The Dirt Tour with them. Glamour Magazine regularly publishes "Get Frankie's Look" showing how to get Sandford's style.
Sandford's personal life has been a staple of the tabloids especially her relationship with McFly's Dougie Poynter. When the pair split up, she received death threats from his fans. She also began dating footballer Wayne Bridge in December 2010. In 2011, Sandford walked away from the Glamour Woman of the Year Awards with three awards from four nominations. She won Inspiration and Best Dressed and she went on to win Band of the Year with The Saturdays. She has been heavily involved with charities including taking part in The Door. Sandford has had a number of sponsorship deals including Veet, Impulse and Nintendo 3DS game, Nintendogs + Cats.
