Training Facility
Within its campus it hosts IGNFA (Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy), which is a separate organisation of the Indian Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) for training officers selected for Indian Forest Service by Union Public Service Commission. It also hosts the Central Academy for State Forest Services (CASFOS). The Wildlife Institute of India previously was on campus but now has shifted to Chandrabani, and is now an independent organisation under MoEF. IIFM is an independent autonomous organisation of MoEF and has good liasoning with FRI for forestry research and related activities.
