For An Angel - Music Video

Music Video

The original For An Angel was filmed in the Riviera Maya in Mexico, in which Paul Van Dyk, dressed in Malibu clothing, is seen relaxing on the beach, in a river & other various locations. Also appearing are various short clips of the scenery surrounding Van Dyk. At the start of the video, Paul Van Dyk is seen sitting under a palm tree, while later in the video he watches local children playing football on the beach.

The 1998 Video Version of For an Angel was filmed on the Lighthouse Lovefloat initiated by Peter Cayton. The E-Werk Version of the Track was played by Paul first time to audience on the truck. Nearby 100.000 people followed the truck. It was the most successful float on the 1998 Loveparade. The float was equipped with a huge Kling & Freitag Access System, which was never used before for techno / electronic music audiences.

The later For An Angel 09 video shows a highly edited selection of shorts from one of Paul Van Dyk's many tours, culminating in a live performance to a Los Angeles crowd.

The song was featured on the Gigi D'Agostino compilation album Il programmino di Gigi D'agostino.

Famous quotes containing the words music and/or video:

If music in general is an imitation of history, opera in particular is an imitation of human willfulness; it is rooted in the fact that we not only have feelings but insist upon having them at whatever cost to ourselves.... The quality common to all the great operatic roles, e.g., Don Giovanni, Norma, Lucia, Tristan, Isolde, Brünnhilde, is that each of them is a passionate and willful state of being. In real life they would all be bores, even Don Giovanni.
    —W.H. (Wystan Hugh)

These people figured video was the Lord’s preferred means of communicating, the screen itself a kind of perpetually burning bush. “He’s in the de-tails,” Sublett had said once. “You gotta watch for Him close.”
    William Gibson (b. 1948)
