There are plans to continue SR 692 west from its current end at CR 296 (118th Avenue) and 31st Court, making the last piece into ramps to CR 296. The extension would go west and then north into SR 686 (Roosevelt Boulevard) at SR 688 (Ulmerton Road), which would be upgraded to a freeway to the south end of the Bayside Bridge (part of CR 611).
