Floating Timeline - Television - Live Action - One Tree Hill

The drama series One Tree Hill used a floating timeline as well. The first four seasons of the show focus on the main characters' lives through two high school years. With the beginning of the fifth season, Schwahn decided to skip the timeline four years ahead, showing their lives after college. In the seventh season, he adjusted the timeline fourteen months into the future after the sixth season. In the eighth season finale episode, a whole year goes by. The last time jump appeared in the series finale in 2012, when the show skipped around another seven years. In the end, this means that One Tree Hill covered about seventeen years in its nine seasons.
