Flashback (Star Trek: Voyager) - Continuity

Continuity

There are certain apparent continuity issues with the events of this episode compared to those depicted in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. In the film, there is actually a two-month gap between the Excelsior witnessing the destruction of Praxis and Kirk and McCoy's imprisonment - not several days, as the episode suggests. Also, Lieutenant Dimitri Valtane is clearly shown to be alive and well on the Enterprise viewscreen at the end of the film.

Famous quotes containing the word continuity:

Only the family, society’s smallest unit, can change and yet maintain enough continuity to rear children who will not be “strangers in a strange land,” who will be rooted firmly enough to grow and adapt.
    Salvador Minuchin (20th century)

There is never a beginning, there is never an end, to the inexplicable continuity of this web of God, but always circular power returning into itself.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

Every generation rewrites the past. In easy times history is more or less of an ornamental art, but in times of danger we are driven to the written record by a pressing need to find answers to the riddles of today.... In times of change and danger when there is a quicksand of fear under men’s reasoning, a sense of continuity with generations gone before can stretch like a lifeline across the scary present and get us past that idiot delusion of the exceptional Now that blocks good thinking.
    John Dos Passos (1896–1970)
