Box was raised in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Her brother is Augie March keyboardist Kiernan Box. She was the School Captain of Tintern Girls Grammar School in 1993.
On the 19th of November 2012 she announced that she was pregnant on live radio via her radio show 'Fifi and Jules', saying it's the greatest thing ever to happen to her. On the 17th of December it was reported that Grant Kenny was the father of the baby.
