Fernando Sales - Football Career

Football Career

A product of Real Betis's youth system, Sales first appeared professionally with lowly CD Isla Cristina and Levante UD (then in the third division, achieving promotion in his first year).

After making his La Liga debuts with Real Valladolid in 2000–01, during a 1–1 away draw against UD Las Palmas, and being an undisputed starter in the following three seasons (scoring a combined total of 15 league goals), Sales transferred to Sevilla FC on a five-year contract, upon Valladolid's 2004 relegation. At Sevilla, he appeared sporadically during his first two seasons, was restricted to cup games in 2006–07 and not registered at all (alongside teammate Jesuli) in the following campaign.

On 13 January 2008, Sales moved to Real Club Celta de Vigo on a free transfer. In September, he signed a one-year deal with another second level outfit, Hércules CF. There, he reunited with former Valladolid teammate Tote.

Veteran Sales continued playing in division two in the following seasons, with Albacete Balompié and AD Alcorcón.

Idon’t enjoy getting knocked about on a football field for other people’s amusement. I enjoy it if I’m being paid a lot for it.
    David Storey (b. 1933)

Clearly, society has a tremendous stake in insisting on a woman’s natural fitness for the career of mother: the alternatives are all too expensive.
