Athletics

The school's sports teams are known as the Fayetteville Rockets, and their school colors are kelly green and white. Fayetteville has sports programs for basketball, baseball, softball, cross country, and volleyball. Football is offered up to 7th grade, but the district did start a football program (which is a 7th and 8th team). Their record was 5-2 for the 2007-2008 school year, with wins over Manchester, Brooksville Bracken County (KY), Lucasville Valley, Mt. Orab Western Brown, and Chillicothe Unioto. Their losses were to West Portsmouth Portsmouth West and the Cincinnati Landmark Eagles. With High School football starting in the 2008-2009 school year. 2010 is the school's first complete, 10-game varsity football season.
