Exmouth Town F.C. are the leading football team in the town, and play in the South West Peninsula League. East Devon Eagles rugby league team are based in Exmouth and played until 2011 in the South West Division of the Rugby League Conference. Devon County Cricket Club play their Minor Counties Championship matches at The Maer Ground. Exmouth also has a large indoor leisure centre.
