"Everytime" was covered by Glen Hansard of Irish band The Frames. It was recorded during a live show at Today FM and released in the 2004 covers compilation, Even Better than the Real Thing Vol. 2. It was also covered in Mandarin by Taiwanese girl group S.H.E and released on their studio album Encore (2004). Their version was retitled "Bié Shuō Duìbùqǐ" (別說對不起 "Don't Say Sorry"). American pop rock singer Sally Maer also covered "Everytime" to release it on her studio album Bed of Roses (2008). Everytime was covered by Scottish post-hardcore band Yashin on their 2010 debut album Put Your Hands Where I Can See Them. "Everytime" was used during the 2009 Irish production of the 1986 play The Seagull. Jackie Evancho covered the song for her debut album Prelude to a Dream (2009). On August 19, 2010, her version debuted at number three on Billboard's Classical Digital Songs chart. British singer Cher Lloyd covered the song live on The X Factor in the United Kingdom in 2010. Kelly Clarkson performed Everytime on her 2012 Summer Tour. Everytime will be covered on Glee by newcomer Melissa Benoist in the episode Britney 2.0 (the second Britney tribute episode on Glee). In the upcoming Harmony Korine film Spring Breakers the song is covered by James Franco. Additionally, the song was covered by The X Factor (Australia) contestant Samantha Jade on the fourth series' third live show. She was kept in the competition by the public despite a mediocre response to her performance by judges Ronan Keating, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, and Mel B, and went on to win the competition.
