Sequel
In March 2011, the producers revealed that the crew was discussing the possibility of a sequel to Enthiran. Cinematographer Rathnavelu confirmed it and said that they were planning to start the sequel by retaining some of the crew, including A. R. Rahman, Shankar and Sun Pictures. It is expected to start once Rajinikanth finishes his work on his present commitments. V. Srinivas Mohan, the special effects supervisor of the film, ratified the idea a couple months later.
