Elementary Middle School

Elementary Middle schools, K-8 centers, or just simply, schools or EMs, are schools that enroll students from Kindergarten/Pre-K through 8th Grade, therefore combining both the typical Elementary School (K-5) and Junior High or Middle School (6 or 7-8). This concept was started in Miami where some of the first such schools were started.
