Famous quotes containing the words education, policy, child and/or labour:

—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“Letting a hundred flowers blossom and a hundred schools of thought contend is the policy for promoting the progress of the arts and the sciences and a flourishing culture in our land.”
—Mao Zedong (18931976)
“As a child I was middle-aged and cautious compared to my impulsive father.”
—Mason Cooley (b. 1927)
“We have much studied and much perfected, of late, the great civilized invention of the division of labour; only we give it a false name. It is not, truly speaking, the labour that is divided; but the men.”
—John Ruskin (18191900)
