In 2010, the Easton Area High School was in Corrective Action II 4th Year AYP status for chronically low student achievement. According to NCLB, Easton Area High School must offer students the choice to transfer to another school in the district not in School Improvement. Easton Area School District does not have another high school building available to offer the choice to transfer. At Easton Area School District 2832 students were eligible for a transfer. Additionally, the school is on the Pennsylvania Department of Education's School Improvement list qualifying it for additional funding, should the administration apply for it.
