Earned Assets Resource Network

EARN, a California-based non-profit organization, is a service provider, policy advocate and research-based innovator that champions upward economic mobility and wealth creation for low-wage workers and their families. As the leading provider of microsavings accounts to low-wage American workers, EARN provides families with the tools to achieve wealth-building goals such as saving for college, buying a first home, or starting a small business.

The organization’s research arm, the EARN Research Institute, evaluates the impact of EARN’s work and publishes original data, sharing lessons learned and best practices. EARN uses this applied research and direct service experience to change the financial services landscape and champion public policies. According to the organization’s website, “EARN's ultimate vision is that millions of well-informed, low-wage American families will achieve financial success through proven strategies, fair public policy, and their own hard work.”

Famous quotes containing the words earned, resource and/or network:

To-day ... when material prosperity and well earned ease and luxury are assured facts from a national standpoint, woman’s work and woman’s influence are needed as never before; needed to bring a heart power into this money getting, dollar-worshipping civilization; needed to bring a moral force into the utilitarian motives and interests of the time; needed to stand for God and Home and Native Land versus gain and greed and grasping selfishness.
    Anna Julia Cooper (1859–1964)

Helping children at a level of genuine intellectual inquiry takes imagination on the part of the adult. Even more, it takes the courage to become a resource in unfamiliar areas of knowledge and in ones for which one has no taste. But parents, no less than teachers, must respect a child’s mind and not exploit it for their own vanity or ambition, or to soothe their own anxiety.
    Dorothy H. Cohen (20th century)

Parents need all the help they can get. The strongest as well as the most fragile family requires a vital network of social supports.
    Bernice Weissbourd (20th century)
