Although, the most coveted position won by the winning team is their qualification to play in the Dublin Senior Football Championship. The 2007 championship was contested by both Fingal Ravens and St Brigids. Ravens won the title for the first time ever by 0-07 to 0-06. The previous final was won by Peregrines against St Margarets in a game that finished 1-11 to 0-9.

Famous quotes containing the words intermediate and/or football:

Complete courage and absolute cowardice are extremes that very few men fall into. The vast middle space contains all the intermediate kinds and degrees of courage; and these differ as much from one another as men’s faces or their humors do.
François, Duc De La Rochefoucauld (1613–1680)

In this dream that dogs me I am part
Of a silent crowd walking under a wall,
Leaving a football match, perhaps, or a pit,
    All moving the same way.
    Philip Larkin (1922–1986)
