Intro
Like the other four nations that dominate the Battletech Universe, The Combine started from a single planet known as New Samarkand. It was divided by several warlords controlling their respective city-states.
Through the use of guile, deception and personal charisma, Shiro Kurita was able to unite the city-states through various means to become ruler of New Samarkand. However, his ambitions did not end there. Once he acquired complete control of the planet, Shiro Kurita started to look outward in order to expand his reach.
