Double Dare (video Game) - Game Options

Game Options

Double Dare can be played by one or two players; single players compete against the computer.

Before gameplay starts, players enter their team names and select an avatar. Team names can be up to nine characters long and contain only letters, numbers, spaces, and periods. The game offers eight different avatars: four male and four female. Whichever avatar the player picks, his teammate will be of the opposite gender.

The game can also be set for one of three levels of difficulty:

  • Easy: Players are given 20 seconds to answer questions; single players can beat the computer in toss-up challenges.
  • Medium: Players are given 15 seconds to answer; beating the computer is more difficult.
  • Hard: Players are given only 10 seconds to answer; the computer is extremely difficult to beat in toss-up challenges.

Famous quotes containing the word game:

Neighboring farmers and visitors at White Sulphur drove out occasionally to watch ‘those funny Scotchmen’ with amused superiority; when one member imported clubs from Scotland, they were held for three weeks by customs officials who could not believe that any game could be played with ‘such elongated blackjacks or implements of murder.’
