"Don't Marry Her" is a song by The Beautiful South and the opening track on their album Blue is the Colour. Vocalist Jacqui Abbott begs a man to run away with her from the woman he is going to marry, and attempts to sway him by describing what she thinks married life with the other woman will be like, painting a very uninviting picture. The song contains profanities on the album version, but a cleaner version was released for radio. This version substituted the name of the actress Sandra Bullock for the phrase 'sweaty bollocks' as well as 'have me' at the end of each chorus rather than 'fuck me'.
The song spent ten weeks on the UK Singles Chart, peaking at #8.
The "clean" single version appears on the best of album Solid Bronze: Great Hits.

Famous quotes containing the word marry:
“Except for poverty, incompatibility, opposition of parents, absence of love on one side and of desire to marry on both, nothing stands in the way of our happy union.”
