DJ Q - Career

Career

He joined BBC Radio 1Xtra as a presenter in August 2006. He remained on the station till August 2012.

DJ Q released his most successful single to date, with MC Bonez, titled "You Wot!", enterting the UK Singles Chart in 2008 and staying there for 2 weeks, peaking at number 50. It was also a successful release for the bassline dance music genre which entered the mainstream the previous year (DJ Q has also released many singles with MC Bonez which, while not successful in the mainstream charts, are well-regarded within this genre. They are also made available on his Myspace page, as well as YouTube, and he is also known to play them on his radio show). DJ Q's most recent single, called 'Over Me' featuring Brit School graduate Louise Williams, was released nationally on Q Recordings on 23 May 2011.

Famous quotes containing the word career:

I seemed intent on making it as difficult for myself as possible to pursue my “male” career goal. I not only procrastinated endlessly, submitting my medical school application at the very last minute, but continued to crave a conventional female role even as I moved ahead with my “male” pursuits.
    Margaret S. Mahler (1897–1985)

I restore myself when I’m alone. A career is born in public—talent in privacy.
    Marilyn Monroe (1926–1962)

I doubt that I would have taken so many leaps in my own writing or been as clear about my feminist and political commitments if I had not been anointed as early as I was. Some major form of recognition seems to have to mark a woman’s career for her to be able to go out on a limb without having her credentials questioned.
    Ruth Behar (b. 1956)
