Dibrugarh is also known as the medical town of Assam. The first medical college of Assam, ASSAM MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL was established in Dibrugarh during British era. Formerly it was known as Berry White Medical College.Also, there is a proposal to establish a nursing college in the AMCH premises.
