Diamond Is Unbreakable

Diamond Is Not Crash (ダイヤモンドは砕けない, Daiyamondo wa Kudakenai?), also known by the more correct English translation of Diamond Is Unbreakable and initially referred to as Dai 4 Bu: Higashikata Jōsuke (第4部 東方仗助?, lit. "Part 4: Jōsuke Higashikata"), is the fourth story arc of the Japanese manga series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, written and illustrated by Hirohiko Araki. It was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1992 to 1995.

Araki retroactively introduced the Bow and Arrow in this arc, which causes people pierced by it to develop Stand ability. Apparently this was used on Dio at the beginning of Part 3, which not only gave him a Stand, but causes Stands to develop in the Joestar bloodline as well. As it is the fourth part of the series, the 174 chapters pick up where the third left off and are numbered 266 to 440, with the tankōbon volumes numbered 29 to 46 (the last four chapters are in volume 47). It was preceded by Stardust Crusaders and followed by Vento Aureo.

Famous quotes containing the word diamond:

A poet who makes use of a worse word instead of a better, because the former fits the rhyme or the measure, though it weakens the sense, is like a jeweller, who cuts a diamond into a brilliant, and diminishes the weight to make it shine more.
    Horace Walpole (1717–1797)
