Devant Maharaj (born 1967) is a Trinidad and Tobago politician. He is a member of the United National Congress. On June 27, 2011 he became a member of the Senate of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and Minister of Transport following his appointment as Chairman of the Public Transport Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago. Maharaj is a member of the People's Partnership Government led by Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar.. On Friday 22 June 2012 Mr. Maharaj was reassigned to the portfolio of Minister of Food Production.
