Derek Asamoah (born 1 May 1981) is a Ghanaian professional footballer, who currently plays as a forward for K-League club Pohang Steelers in South Korea and the Ghana national team.
Asamoah is a forward, known for his footspeed and dribbling ability. He can also operate on either wing, delivering sharp crosses and as a second striker.
