Extracurricular Activities
Del Sol High School has received high recognition for the many extracurricular activities it offers its students. Del Sol's dance team was awarded first place honors and at the Southern Utah University Shakespearean Festival and the school's Symphonic Band and Orchestra received all superior ratings in 2007. Del Sol holds an annual multicultural "extravaganza" which highlights the ethnic diversity of its students and their heritages. In 2007, Del Sol's DECA club qualified seven of its members for an international DECA competition held in Orlando, Florida. The next year, four members qualified for the competition held in Atlanta, Georgia. In early 2009, Del Sol's Thespian Board lead by Helen Sax, hosted the annual "Thespian State Conference," where nearly all of the other high schools in and around the valley came to perform for judges in a friendly competition.
