The 1994 movie Texas (James A. Michener's Texas) had some scenes filmed in Del Rio. The movie, which took place in the beginning of the 19th century as many Anglo-Saxons were settling in the Mexican province of Texas, featured Randy Travis and Anthony Michael Hall.
