International Career
At international level, Dário played for Mozambique at the 1998 Africa Cup of Nations in Burkina Faso, as the national team finished bottom of its group (losing every match in the process), and also appeared in the 2010 edition in Angola, in which Mozambique again finished bottom of the group, albeit with 1 point this time thanks to a 2-2 draw against Benin.
He totalled 88 caps and 21 goals, national best in both categories.
