CSKA Pomir Dushanbe

CSKA Pomir Dushanbe is a football club from Tajikistan and currently play in the top division. Its origins are in the Tajik Army, like its rivals CSKA Dushanbe.

Pamir Dushanbe was the only Tajik club to get into the former Soviet Top League, in which the club played for last three seasons the league existed just prior to the dissolution of the USSR: 1989, 1990, and 1991. They made the semi-finals of the last Soviet Cup, losing to CSKA Moscow. This was aided by the fact that all the Ukrainian opposition withdrew following the dissolution.
