He is the former owner of the Australian financial planning chain "WPS" - now controversially owned by Lord Michael Ashcroft's - property development company "Consolidated Construction", luxury home builder "Consolidated Project Homes", an earth moving business and "Aussie Vineyards", a Queensland-based winery. He was ranked sixth on the BRW young rich list in 2006 with an estimated wealth of A$160 million. Was listed on the BRW Rich 200 list 199th at A$180 million in 2007. He has also sponsored V8 Supercars and Indy racing teams.
In 2009 three companies that Gore controlled were placed into administration after a failed attempt by Gore and Ashcroft to buy City Pacific - Gore's then financier - and then the financier turned on Gore. Between August 2009 and 2010, six parties attempted to have Gore declared bankrupt.
Craig Gore is a property developer based on the Gold Coast. He is the son of Mike Gore the developer of Sanctuary Cove. Gore built WPS ( Wright Patton Shakespeare financial services into one of Austrlaia's largest financial services companies. Gore was listed in the BRW rich list with a net worth of more than 180M. However several of his companies were placed into receivership after disputes with then financier City Pacific. This dispute was later settled out of court. Gore now faces bankruptcy after Lord Michael Ashcroft, and other creditors close to Gore, backed out of a deal to settle with Gore's creditors. Gore is currently disputing debts allegedly owed by his former companies to Ashcroft. Gore claims Ashcroft is not owed the A$152M sort. A court hearing is set for May 9, 2012 to determine if Ashcroft's Mayfair PLC (and other Ashcroft entities) are creditors to Gore's estate. Resolution of these matters will have significant impact on Gore's creditors and is being closely watched by regulators who are being pressured by Ashcroft and related parties to investigate and prosecute Gore.
Gore is married with three children. He resides on the Gold Coast.Gore and is currently running a campaign to expose the activities of Lord MIchael Ashcroft and his associates, including Shane Stone the former Australian Liberal Party Secretary. Gore is quoted as saying he is providing information to investigators into the dealings of several of Lord Ashcroft's companies.
Current creditors party to Gores Part 10 P.I.A. voted on 24-February-2012 to terminate the Part 10 Agreement, clearing the way for creditors to pursue bankruptcy proceedings against Gore. It is widley expected the Australian Taxation Office will indeed file and fund these proceedings.
