Personal Life
Anderson married his wife Nicole in the summer of 2010. The couple have one son, Jake who was born in the summer of 2011.
Anderson is of Swedish and Norwegian descent. This was made public during his tenure with the OHL's Guelph Storm and his first professional season with the AHL's Norfolk Admirals, when Anderson was known as Craig Andersson. Anderson admitted that he intentionally added an extra "s" to his surname to honor his experience in Sweden, where he played in a tournament while in the sixth grade. He was forced to drop the extra letter from his surname when he signed his first professional contract, as he never legally changed it.
