Cookie Bear (New Zealand) - The Cookie Bear Club

The Cookie Bear Club

Cookie Bear's fame and popularity escalated through the Cookie Bear Club, which had a regular monthly page in the New Zealand Woman's Weekly magazine. Children throughout New Zealand joined the club, reaching a peak of 180,000 children, or 1 in 4 New Zealand children under the age of 12. Members of the club received postcards on their birthday. Today's Cookie Bear Club has moved online to the official Cookie Bear Club website.

Famous quotes containing the words cookie, bear and/or club:

Living by basic good-mothering guidelines enables a mom to blend the responsibilities of parenthood with its joys; to know when to stand her ground and when to be flexible; and to absorb the lessons of the parenting gurus while also trusting her inner voice when it reasons that another cookie isn’t worth fighting over, or that her child won’t suffer irreparable trauma if, once in a while, Mom puts her own needs first.
    Sue Woodman (20th century)

A designer who is not also a couturier, who hasn’t learned the most refined mysteries of physically creating his models, is like a sculptor who gives his drawings to another man, an artisan, to accomplish. For him the truncated process of creating will always be an interrupted act of love, and his style will bear the shame of it, the impoverishment.
    Yves Saint Laurent (b. 1936)

We have ourselves to answer for.
