Language Learning
CMC is widely discussed in language learning because CMC provides opportunities for language learners to practice their language. For example, Warschauer conducted several case studies on using email or discussion boards in different language classes. Warschauer claimed that information and communications technology “bridge the historic divide between speech … and writing”. Thus, considerable concern has arisen over the reading and writing research in L2 due to the booming of Internet.

Famous quotes containing the words language and/or learning:
“This Light inspires, and plays upon
The nose of Saint like Bag-pipe drone,
And speaks through hollow empty Soul,
As through a Trunk, or whispring hole,
Such language as no mortal Ear
But spiritual Eve-droppers can hear.”
—Samuel Butler (16121680)
“Spend the years of learning squandering
Courage for the years of wandering”
—Samuel Beckett (19061989)
