Compensation Court of New South Wales

The Compensation Court of New South Wales was a court in the Australian State of New South Wales. It had unlimited jurisdiction within the state in workers compensation matters.

It was abolished on 31 December 2003 and replaced by the Workers Compensation Commission of New South Wales for most workers compensation matters. Jurisdiction in respect of the injury of police and miners was transferred to the District Court of New South Wales. The Compensation Court Judges all became District Court Judges at this time.

Famous quotes containing the words compensation, court, south and/or wales:

I have everything in the world that is necessary to happiness, good faith, good friends and all the work I can possibly do. I think God’s greatest blessing to the human race was when He sent man forth into the world to earn his bread by the sweat of his face. I believe in toil, in the dignity of labor, but I also believe in adequate compensation for that toil.
    Anna Howard Shaw (1847–1919)

Betray, kind husband, Thy spouse to our sights,
And let mine amorous soul court Thy mild Dove,
Who is most true and pleasing to Thee then
When she is embraced and open to most men.
    John Donne (1572–1631)

...I always said if I lived to get grown and had a chance, I was going to try to get something for my mother and I was going to do something for the black man of the South if it would cost my life; I was determined to see that things were changed.
    Fannie Lou Hamer (1917–1977)

I just come and talk to the plants, really—very important to talk to them, they respond I find.
Charles, Prince Of Wales (b. 1948)
