Student Life

For further enhancement of student life on campus, a variety of clubs and organizations are available. Students can enrich their college experience by seeking clubs or organizations based on community service, academic achievement, fraternity, sorority, sports, politics, religion, etc. A sample of the various business-related organizations is:

  • Association of Information Systems (AIS)
  • Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP)
  • Beta Alpha Psi (BAY)
  • Beta Gamma Sigma (BΓΣ): This is the highest recognition a business student can receive in an undergraduate or master’s program at a school accredited by the AACSB. To be eligible for membership, a student must rank in the upper 10% of the junior and senior class, or upper 20% of the graduating master’s class.

  • Enactus (formally known as SIFE): Enactus is an international non-profit organization that works with leaders in business and higher education to mobilize university students to make a difference in their communities while developing the skills to become socially responsible business leaders. Participating students form teams on their university campuses and apply business concepts to develop outreach projects that improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need.
  • International Business Student Association (IBSA)
  • Information Systems Security Association (ISSA)
  • Kennesaw Marketing Association (KMA): KMA is the Kennesaw State University chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA), the largest and most influential marketing association in North America. KMA is for career-minded students who have the desire to enhance their marketing skills, develop professionally through a variety of real life and professional experiences, and achieve a high level of self-confidence.

  • National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA)
  • Omicron Delta Epsilon (ΟΔΕ)
  • Phi Beta Lambda (ΦBΛ)
  • Pi Sigma Epsilon (ΠΣΕ): Pi Sigma Epsilon is the only national, co-ed, professional fraternal organization in sales, marketing, and management. PSE’s goal is to provide collegiate students with practical business experience through sales, sales projects, marketing, marketing research and community service projects.
  • Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)
  • Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF): SMIF was created in 2006 to provide real-time, hands on experience in portfolio management and investing for its top business majors. KSU SMIF is run by the Student Executive Board consisting of student managers selected from amongst their peers through an application process. The SMIF’s main investment focus is Strategic Asset Allocation primarily geared toward domestic equities.
