Cofrentes NPP has an average annual production of nearly 8,900 million kWh which equates roughly to the domestic energy consumed by the five million families living in the Valencian Community.
During 2010, it generated 9,549 million kWh operating continuously for 365 days a year. This figure was around 5% of national energy production (under de ordinary system) and the coverage of over 30% of the energy demand of Valencian Community.
Throughout 2011, cofrentes NPP generated 7,901 million kWh, which represents close to 4.1% of the national grid energy production (under the ordinary system) and 66% of Iberdrola's production in Valencian Community.
In percentages, the plant has been in service in 83% of its total capacity, operating with the alternator coupled to the grid for 7,564 hours a year, having made a scheduled shutdown to conduct the 18th refueling outage.
