Clonkeen College - Social Events

Social Events

Every September there is a big golf day (and night) out for past pupils and friends.

The First Year Social, or "Ball in the Hall", is a disco for the first year students of Clonkeen College and St. Joseph of Cluny, Killiney girls' school. The Social Committee contact and work with the Cluny Student Council and jointly organise and run the ball, liasing with the principals and Parents Councils.

Famous quotes containing the words social and/or events:

Almsgiving tends to perpetuate poverty; aid does away with it once and for all. Almsgiving leaves a man just where he was before. Aid restores him to society as an individual worthy of all respect and not as a man with a grievance. Almsgiving is the generosity of the rich; social aid levels up social inequalities. Charity separates the rich from the poor; aid raises the needy and sets him on the same level with the rich.
    Eva Perón (1919–1952)

“The ideal reasoner,” he remarked, “would, when he had once been shown a single fact in all its bearings, deduce from it not only all the chain of events which led up to it but also all the results which would follow from it.”
    Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1859–1930)
