Cleveland Barrens Natural Area Preserve

Coordinates: 36°56′8″N 82°9′18″W / 36.93556°N 82.15500°W / 36.93556; -82.15500 Cleveland Barrens Natural Area Preserve is a Natural Area Preserve located in Russell County, Virginia. It preserves a series of important dolomite barrens, rare plant species, and three rare species of insect. Its 1,070 acres (4.3 km2) lie within the Clinch River Valley, and contain various grasses, such as indiangrass, big bluestem, and little bluestem.
