Clear Sky Lodge Airport

Clear Sky Lodge Airport (FAA LID: CLF) is a public-use airport located four nautical miles (7 km) south of the central business district of Clear, Alaska, United States. This airport is privately owned by Rabideau's Clear Sky Lodge.

Note that CLF is not the IATA code for that airport; indeed, CLF has been assigned by IATA to the Coltishall military airbase, now closed.

Famous quotes containing the words clear, sky, lodge and/or airport:

    [17th-century] Puritans were the first modern parents. Like many of us, they looked on their treatment of children as a test of their own self-control. Their goal was not to simply to ensure the child’s duty to the family, but to help him or her make personal, individual commitments. They were the first authors to state that children must obey God rather than parents, in case of a clear conflict.
    C. John Sommerville (20th century)

    Out in the sky the great dark clouds are massing;
    I look far out into the pregnant night,
    Paul Laurence Dunbar (1872–1906)

    No direct hit to smash the shatter-proof
    And lodge at last the quivering needle
    Clean in the eye of one who stands transfixed
    In fascination of her brightness.
    Karl Shapiro (b. 1913)

    It was like taking a beloved person to the airport and returning to an empty house. I miss the people. I miss the world.
    Susan Sontag (b. 1933)
