Classic Hits (Dial Global Radio Network)
Classic Hits/Rock is a 24-hour music format produced by Dial Global. The format launch was overseen by Senior Director of Programming Jon Holiday in December 2003. Cheri Marquart is the Classic Hits PD. It's playlist consists of classic hit music in the mid-1960s to early 1980s from artists such as The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, The Doobie Brothers and dozens more artists. Classic Hits is known as the quintessential "money demo” format, designed to deliver 25-44 adults in a balanced male/female split.
On June 17, 2012, due to a corporate reorganization at Dial Global, the Classic Hits format was jettisoned and relaunched as Classic Hits/Rock. At the same time, sister network Kool Gold was renamed to Classic Hits/Pop.
