Williams was married to Bill Hudson of the musical trio Hudson Brothers in 1982, but the marriage ended in divorce in 2000. Together they have two children: Emily Hudson (born 1982) and Zachary Hudson (born 1986).
In January 2000, an article in the Washington Post critical of military pay raises was written by a Cindy Williams who is a researcher at MIT. It has been frequently improperly attributed to the actress Cindy Williams.
