Lisa McPherson Controversy
In 1995 Lisa McPherson died while in the care of the FSO. The FSO was indicted on two felony charges. Lisa's cause of death was changed from "undetermined" to "accident" in 2000. The civil suit brought against the CoS by Lisa's family was settled in 2004.
