Christopher Rush

Christopher Rush is an illustrator for Magic: The Gathering. In total, he has illustrated over 100 cards for the series. Most of his work for Wizards of the Coast was done on the earliest sets, where he also helped with various design and marketing issues. He is the artist of the most expensive card in the game, the Black Lotus.

While the Pokémon TCG was still run by Wizards, he did the illustration for Promo Mewtwo #12, which was released in the April 2000 issue of Nintendo Power. Incidentally, Christopher Rush was the first artist from outside of Japan to have illustrated a Pokémon card, and remains one of the few.

Christopher Rush continues to do freelance work illustrating cards for various games and concept art for computer games and television.

Career Note: While working on the art for Wizards of the Coast, Chris also worked as a Game Play Counselor at Nintendo of America in Redmond, WA.

Famous quotes containing the words christopher and/or rush:

Yet, when the walls of flesh grow weak,
In such an hour it may well be,
Through mist and darkness, light will break,
And each anointed sense will see.
    —Ernest Christopher Dowson (1867–1900)

Is this then a touch? quivering me to a new identity,
Flames and ether making a rush for my veins,
Treacherous tip of me reaching and crowding to help them,
My flesh and blood playing out lightning to strike what is hardly
    different from myself,
On all sides prurient provokers stiffening my limbs,
    Walt Whitman (1819–1892)
