Chrispa - Early Life

Early Life

Chryspa was born Chrysanthi-Pagona Pitropoulou (Chris-pa) in Athens, Greece on December 7, 1982. At the age of five, she moved to Pireus, Greece where she began to experiment with music and dance. Originally, she had no dream to become a singer and loved ballet. After thirteen years of ballet, she left it behind party because of her short height, and pursued musical instruments taking courses at her school for phonetics, piano and guitar.

Chryspa's singing career began at age 18 when she sang a song with Sofia Vossou at her summer concert in Aegina. Vossou described Chrispa's voice as "very good" and her connections eventually helped Chryspa get a record contract with Alpha Records. Her talent was quickly realized and she sang in more concerts with other popular singers such as Stamatis Gonidis, Labis Livieratos, and Themis Adamantidis.

Famous quotes containing the words early and/or life:

If there is a price to pay for the privilege of spending the early years of child rearing in the driver’s seat, it is our reluctance, our inability, to tolerate being demoted to the backseat. Spurred by our success in programming our children during the preschool years, we may find it difficult to forgo in later states the level of control that once afforded us so much satisfaction.
    Melinda M. Marshall (20th century)

A thoroughbred business man cannot enter heartily upon the business of life without first looking into his accounts.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
