Trayce Nikolas Thompson (born March 15, 1991 in Ladera Ranch, California) is a minor league baseball outfielder in the Chicago White Sox organization. He is 6'3" and weighs 195 lbs. He is the son of former NBA player Mychal Thompson. Thompson also has two brothers that have played in the NBA. Mychel played for the Cleveland Cavaliers and currently plays in the NBA Development League for the Sioux Falls Skyforce. His other brother, Klay, currently plays in the NBA for the Golden State Warriors.

Thompson was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 2nd round of the 2009 MLB Draft, after attending Santa Margarita Catholic High School. Thompson started his baseball career in 2009 at the Rookie level with the Bristol White Sox and Great Falls Voyagers. In 2009 combined, Thompson hit .198 in 106 at bats with 0 HRs, 3 2Bs, 1 3B, 10 RBI, 3 SBs and 41 Ks. In 2010, Thompson played the whole season at Class A Kannapolis Intimidators. In 2010, Thompson hit .229 in 210 at bats with 8 HRs, 13 2Bs, 3 3Bs, 31 RBI, 6 SBs and 69 Ks. In 2011, Thompson again played the whole season with Kannapolis hitting .241 in 519 at bats with 24 HRs, 36 2Bs, 2 3Bs, 87 RBI, 8 SBs and 172 Ks. In 2012, Thompson moved up to through the White Sox farm system starting at Class A-Advanced Winston-Salem Dash then moved up to Double-A Birmingham Barons and finally Triple-A Charlotte Knights. In 2012, Thompson hit a combined .253 in 517 at bats with 31 2Bs, 6 3Bs, 25 HRs, 96 RBI, 21 SBs and 166 Ks.
