Chevrolet Trax

Chevrolet Trax is a mini SUV sold by the General Motors-owned Chevrolet starting early 2013 for the 2014 model year. It is based on the GM Gamma II platform, which is shared with the Opel Mokka. In Oceania, it will be sold under the Holden marque.

The Trax slots below the mid-size Chevrolet Equinox in the current line up.

The vehicle was unveiled at the 2012 Paris Auto Show, and later in 2013 North American International Auto Show, 2013 Montreal Auto Show for test driving. GM does not plan to sell the Trax for the United States market, as both the Buick version of the Opel Mokka and the Theta-based Chevrolet Captiva Sport crossover SUV are already available there. In Canada, however, the Trax will become the first compact Chevrolet crossover SUV since the discontinuation of the Tracker (read below).

Mexico and Canada models went on sale on in the fourth quarter of 2012.
